This is the place I share my reading and research.  I am constantly searching for healthy news I can use.  I'll add things I've learned to help with using EFT, lowering your stress and improving your health in general.

You will want to check back periodically for updates.

Sometimes I just get tired of tapping. Should I worry about it?

I don’t know that I’d worry about it, but I’d certainly take a good look at what I am doing. I am assuming that, if you are getting tired from tapping, you are also not getting good results.

It is sometimes difficult to look at our own issues the way a professional practitioner might. If you are not being specific enough or if you are afraid to go into the core issue, you might get tired of tapping before you get good results. Be much more specific about your wording and what you are focusing on. For instance, if you are working on a car accident trauma, instead of tapping on car accident, you might ask yourself, “”What is the worst part of that car accident right now?” You might make a list of all the aspects of an issue and tap on whichever one is the most powerful each time you look at it. There are many ways to make EFT more effective and faster. Putting aspects in writing where you can “see” them can be very helpful.

If you have hidden fears about who you will be or what you will have to do if something is truly healed or released, that also might be part of your getting tired. Perhaps a part of you is sabotaging your good intentions. Ask yourself something like, “What is the worst thing that might happen if this is healed?” If may seem like a strange question, however, the answer could be quite insightful.

If you continue to feel tired from tapping, I suggest working with a skilled practitioner. It may be that only one or two sessions can help you move through an issue as well as help you see how to better work with EFT in the future.

Improving Your Vision: The Eyes Have It!

- Dr. David Williams

Like every other part of your body, your eyes need to be exercised to stay fit and continue working properly. If your eyes are frequently sore and tired, try these three simple vision exercises regularly to help improve your eye health:

1. Place the palms of your hands against the orbits of your eye [the palms shouldn't touch the eyeball, only the bony area around it]. Apply enough pressure so that you have total darkness in both eyes. Keep your eyes closed and covered. Look up as far as you can. Now look straight ahead. Then look as far as you can to the right and go back to the center. Now look straight down as far as you can and back to the center. Now go all the way to the left and back to the center

2. Hold a pencil straight out in front of you at arm's length. Focus both eyes on the tip of the pencil. Slowly bring the pencil in toward your face, keeping your eyes focused on the tip until it touches your nose. Now slowly move the pencil back to arm's length, still focusing on the tip. Try to keep the tip in focus at all times. As your eye muscles become stronger, this exercise will get easier.

3. Hold a pencil at arm's length and look straight ahead at all times. Do not move your head during this exercise. Slowly move the pencil upward until you can no longer see the point with your peripheral vision. Now move it slowly back down to center--keep focusing--and all the way to the right until you can no longer see the point, and back to the center. Then go all the way down until you no longer see the point, bring it back up to the center and do the same thing going to the left and back to the center.

Physician, author, speaker, researcher and consultant, Dr. Marty Rossman, creator of the Guided Imagery for Self-Healing Book and CD set and founder of The Healing Mind will appear on the July 9th Access to Health Experts teleseminar series. He will discuss his theory of guided imagery and share his long-standing interest in the practical importance of attitude, beliefs, emotions, and mind/body practices in medicine and health.

According to Dr. Rossman, guided imagery teaches the use of imagination in order to achieve optimum wellness. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) estimates that 75 to 90 percent of office visits to primary care physicians are stress-related. Stress reduction is important because stress has been linked to every major cause of death in the United States. Guided imagery combines deep relaxation and positive suggestion in order to significantly reduce stress levels. Eight studies conducted between 1983- 1995 reported on groups of surgical, cardiac, and cancer patients, smokers, and others reporting high stress levels. After guided imagery sessions, they had significantly less self-reported stress; physiological measures of stress, and anxiety when compared to control groups.

In addition to stress management, guided imagery can help in changing health habits like eating and exercising. Dr. Rossman's approach to wellness emphasizes the power of self-healing. Guided Imagery is safe, effective, inexpensive, and has side benefits instead of side effects! While people already have this power, they probably have never been taught to use it. It's the power of the mind/body connection.

In this informational teleseminar, you will learn:

- What Guided Imagery is
- How to reduce stress, relieve pain, change lifestyle habits
- How to stimulate healing responses in your body
- How to use breathing, relaxation, self-suggestion and visualization to live with more wellness
